Two staff members in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 are among winners in the annual Readers’ Choice Survey of Sun ThisWeek and the Dakota County Tribune newspapers.
Winter break for students in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage District 191 will run Thursday, Dec. 22 through Monday, Jan. 2.
The main office at Burnsville High School will be open regular hours during winter break except for the following days:
Beth Raebel and Colleen Coleman, both teachers in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191, have been named TIES 2016 Exceptional Teachers and will be honored during the TIES Education Technology Conference in December.
They are among teachers selected for modeling best practices in using technology to engage students in learning. School districts participating in the TIES Exceptional Teachers award program are members of TIES, an education technology consortium of 48 Minnesota school districts.
Burnsville High School is one of three school sites selected regionally to host Google and Best Buy as a showcase for how their products are being used in schools on Dec. 1-2.
The BHS School Store will be open additional evenings in Nov. and Dec. from 5-7:30 p.m.to accommodate parents and students with their seasonal and/or holiday shopping.

The store is normally open during the school day on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
