District clarifies use of musical instruments

We are aware that there has been miscommunication and confusion regarding the student use of the district’s musical instruments for the 2017-18 year. We apologize for this.

To clarify, there will be no change during the current school year in the use of band and orchestra instruments owned by Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191.

The distribution of band and orchestra instruments for the 2017-2018 school year in District 191 for grades 5-12 will be:   

Students invited to explore band at ‘instrument petting zoo’

Fourth-graders in Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 are invited to attend one of two “instrument petting zoos” hosted by elementary band directors on May 2 and 3.

At the events, students will be able to try different instruments with the help of staff members. Parents will have time to ask questions and get more information about fifth-grade band in District 191.

BHS band and choirs performances begin March 14

The Burnsville High School band and choir concerts are slated for March 14-15 and March 17-18 in the Mraz Center for the Performing Arts, located at 600 E. Highway 13.
 
There is a 6:30 p.m. concert on Monday, March 14, featuring the Women's Chorus, Blaze Choir, FreeStyle and special guest District 191 5th/6th Grade Honor Choir. At. 8 p.m., Bel Canto, FreeStyle and Concert Choir will perform.
