Burnsville High School Theatre Guild’s summer camp, “Dear Edwina, Jr.,” runs June 17-21, which will culminate with three performances in the Mraz Center for the Performing Arts, located at 600 E. Highway 13.
The camp will be held 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. daily at Burnsville High School and is open to students entering grades 6-9 for the 2019-2020 school year.
The cost for the camp is $100, and checks can be made payable to Burnsville High School Theatre Guild.
Final performances are slated for June 21 at 7 p.m. and June 22 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Tickets for the show will be $10 for adults and $8 for students. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to each show.
The camp offers participants a true ensemble piece, where they will join Edwina Spoonapple and her crew in the family’s garage as they run an advice column for teens. All the letters that kids write come in the form of a song, and the responses her crew give are songs as well.

There are plenty of opportunities for students to be featured as a singer or dancer in this show, and all cast members are included in all the songs.
Costumes and dinner between the shows on Saturday are included in the cost of camp.
Cast pictures will be mailed within a few weeks of the show, and dvds will be available to order for delivery a few weeks after the show closes.
If you would like to audition for a solo or leading role, please make that indication on your registration form (click on this link to access the registration form).
All students who register (up to 60 campers) will be cast; students interested in solos will be asked to come in for an audition in early June (an email will be sent to parents regarding audition time/date). Participants should indicate if they are interested in being a part of the crew or tech. Camp fee still applies.
