Burnsville High School earns four awards in Readers’ Choice Survey

Four awards go to Burnsville High School in the annual Readers’ Choice Survey of Sun ThisWeek and the Dakota County Tribune newspapers.

Every year, the newspapers invite readers to choose their favorites in multiple categories. Results were tallied and Readers’ Choice Award Winners were recently announced for 2019.

Readers in Burnsville voted:

  • Dave Helke of Burnsville High School as Best Principal
  • Gloria Webber of Burnsville High School as Best Teacher
  • Burnsville High School as Best Public School
  • Burnsville High School’s Mraz Center for the Performing Arts as Best Theatre/Playhouse

Burnsville High School was also selected as Best Public School in 2018 and Helke was also ranked as Best Principal in 2017.

The newspapers will print a special section listing all winners on Jan. 24 and 25, and the list will also be featured on the newspapers’ website for a year.
