At a meeting Dec. 18, the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 Board of Education selected School Exec Connect to lead the district’s search for a superintendent to replace Cindy Amoroso, who is retiring after this school year on June 30, 2019.
It is the same firm the district used during its last superintendent search, which ended with the hiring of Joe Gothard in 2013.
School Exec Connect President Ken Dragseth lauded his firm’s track record of placing candidates who succeed in their districts, as well as the firm’s commitment to and knowledge of Minnesota.
“We’re absolutely invested in Minnesota,” he said. “We take great pride in the fact that we’ve placed some of the best superintendents in the state.”
Several board members echoed the benefits of having a search firm that has had success in Minnesota.
As part of their presentation, School Exec Connect outlined a search process that will include significant community engagement to develop a profile of what type of candidate would be most successful in District 191. That profile will be used to recruit a slate of candidates for the board to consider.
News and updates will be posted at www.isd191.org/superintendent as the search progresses.
