2018 Senior Profile: Olivia Brammer

Who was a favorite teacher or staff member & why?
A favorite teacher of mine at Burnsville High School, is Mrs. Coleman. Her classes teach so much more than just the basics of government/economics. She encourages all of her students to find their voice and use it to be a force for good in the world.

What are your plans for after graduation?
After graduation I plan on attending Augsburg University and studying Special Education/Political Science.

How do you think you've changed as a person during the last four years?
I have changed so much in the past four years. Four years ago, I did not know what I stood for, or the kind of person I wanted to be. Throughout high school I have been able to find my voice and use it to create change in the world around me.

What makes you most excited when you think about your future?
I get so excited when I think about the future because the students in the class of 2018 have already changed the world, and yet we still have so much more to offer.

What advice would you give to younger students to make the most of their high school experiences?
If I could give any advice to younger students in ISD 191, I would tell them to get involved in as much as possible. Our schools have so many diverse, incredible extracurricular activities. Any time spent in these activities allows you to jump outside of your comfort zone and meet people who are different than yourself

To celebrate members of the Class of 2018 and help the One91 Community get to know some of the students at Burnsville High School and Burnsville Alternative High School, we're publishing several "Senior Profiles" as we gear up for commencement ceremonies the week of June 4. Congratulations to all of our seniors!
