BHS Homecoming week begins Sept. 18

Burnsville High School students, staff, alumni and community members will be celebrating Homecoming during the week of Sept. 18. There will be many festivities, including themed dress-up days, a student-wide pep assembly, an array of athletic events and the Homecoming dance on Saturday night.

Listed below are the scheduled events for Homecoming.

Monday, Sept. 18

Powder Puff Football Games @ BHS Pates Stadium - 6-9 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 19

Outdoor Movie @ BHS Pates Stadium - 7-9 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 21

Boys‘/Girls‘ Cross Country Invitational @ Nicollet Middle School, 3 p.m.
Girls‘ Tennis v. Farmington, 3:30 p.m.
Boys‘ Soccer v. Lakeville South, 5 p.m.
Girls‘ Soccer v. Lakeville South, 7 p.m.
Friday, Sept. 22
Blaze Dress-Up Day
Homecoming Football Game vs. Maple Grove @ BHS Pates Stadium - 7 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 23
Homecoming Dance @ BHS Main Gym - 8 p.m. – Midnight
Pre-sold dance tickets are $15 per person and $20 per person at the door (cash only)
Other Important Homecoming Dates:
September 6-7: Homecoming Song Auditions, 6 p.m. Location TBD
September 13: Powder Puff and Royalty forms due
September 14: Students will vote for Homecoming Royalty during period 3
September 14: Deadline for teachers to submit Ambassador candidates to Mark Riggs
September 15: Powder Puff and Puffette mandatory meeting in Room C180 at 2:40 p.m.
September 16-17: Powder Puff practices at BHS Pates Stadium Field, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
September 20: Students will vote for Homecoming King and Queen during period 3
September 22:Middle School Homecoming Assembly (TBD times at ER, Metcalf, Nicollet)
