All seniors are invited to attend the Career Center's celebration of Decision Day on Monday, May 1.
Whether students plan on attending college or vocational school, joining the military, setting off to work, participating in BEST or taking a year off, this event is focused on celebrating all seniors and their plans for the future.
“Decision Day is celebrated around the country to recognize high school seniors for their postsecondary plans and encourage younger students and families to prepare early for life after high school,” said Marcia Sexton, coordinator of the Career Center. It coincides with the date that most seniors must confirm their plans to enroll at a specific college.
Students are invited to visit the Career Center during the day. During this event, students will sign their grad caps, fill out their senior survey and finalize a transcript request. Throughout the day, students will be encouraged to 'tweet' out celebratory messages about their decision. Of course, there will be delicious cake, too! Cake will be served during all lunches.
