A ribbon-cutting and open house for families and community members will take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Sky Oaks Elementary School, 100 E. 134th St. Burnsville.
The school, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, has had recent updates to its building and academic programming at part of Vision One91 in Burnsville-Eagan Savage School District 191.
“We’re excited about new changes to our school and we’d like families and community members to stop by and learn more about what we currently offer to learners,” said Principal Jon Bonneville. “We’re very proud of Sky Oaks Elementary.”
A brief program begins at 6 p.m. and will include the official ribbon cutting. Tours of the building will include the new pre-kindergarten program, new kindergarten classrooms, new digital learning curriculum, makerspaces, and other renovated areas. It’s also an opportunity to meet staff members and to hear about school district and community programs.
Sky Oaks Elementary is located at 100 E. 134th St. in Burnsville.
