Burnsville will play Wayzata in the state quarterfinals on Thursday, March 3 during the first session. The game is listed to start at 1 p.m., but it will actually begin 30 minutes after the first game of the session (Farmington/Stillwater puck drop begins at 11:19 a.m.).
Burnsville High School has a limited number of tickets for pre-sale for Thursday's quarterfinal game.
BHS Student Quarterfinal Ticket Pre-Sale: Monday, Feb. 29 from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the athletic office. BHS students (grades 10-12) may purchase one upper bowl ticket for the Class AA Quarterfinal Game. Students will have to show their BHS Student ID or be verified via Synergy, and we will keep a record of purchases so only one ticket can be purchased. The cost of the ticket will be $11, and checks should be made out to Burnsville High School. Please note passes will NOT be written for students to return to class and students should NOT come to the athletic office during a class period.
BHS will also offer student fan buses to the quarterfinal game. Students must purchase a ticket to be eligible to ride the fan bus, and the cost of the bus will be $4 for a total of $15 for both a game ticket and bus ride to and from the game. Students who do not have a ticket to the game will not be allowed on the bus.
Just like any other absence, a parent/guardian must call the BHS attendance line to excuse the absence. Students riding the bus will be excused from periods 5-7 as long as their parents have excused them from school for that time.
General Public Quarterfinals Ticket Pre-Sale: Tuesday, March 1 and Wednesday, March 2 (while supplies last) from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in the athletic office. Any tickets still available will be sold at this time (limit of 4 per customer). The cost will be $17 for adults and $11 for students, and checks should be made out to Burnsville High School. Lower bowl tickets will be sold on this day and will cost the adult rate of $17 (regardless of age).
The game will be televised live on Channel 45, and there are a limited number of tickets sold beginning an hour before each session at the Excel Energy Box Office. The MSHSL states people wanting to purchase these tickets should "be prepared to arrive early and wait in line."
Should Burnsville advance to the semifinal game on Friday night, a limited number of tickets will be available for pre-sale. The same would hold true for the third place or championship game on Saturday. There will be no student fan bus for either of these days nor will there be any advance ticket sales if the team were to qualify for the consolation bracket.
Pre-sale for Friday's semi-final game would take place Thursday after the quarterfinal game at Burnsville High School in the athletic office.
