Community members can bring their unwanted electronic devices (computers, monitors, cell phones, etc.) to an upcoming electronics recycling fundraiser for the Burnsville High School DECA team.
DECA is teaming up with Tech Dump for the event that US Federal Credit Union is hosting on Saturday, September 26 from 9 a.m. to noon at 1400 Riverwood Drive in Burnsville.
If items have a battery or cord, it’s likely to be accepted. Items with a recycling fee include televisions and monitors ($15 on CRTs <30” and $25 on CRTs >30”) console televisions and rear projection televisions. Please do not bring humidifiers, microwaves, dishwashers, water heaters, space heaters, washers/dryers and refrigerators/freezers.
DECA earns funds based on the amount of items collected. This fundraiser helps support the DECA program which prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
This event is free and open to the public. Tax deductible receipts are available for all donations.
For information regarding data storing devices or any other questions, please contact Tech Dump at 763-432-3117.
