About Us

Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 is a vibrant community dedicated to ensuring each student is ready for success beyond high school.

We serve nearly 10,000 students in grades K-12, and a community of nearly 100,000 with our Community Education and Special Education programs. The district includes 10 elementary schools (K-6), three junior high schools (7-9), one high school and one alternative high school.

Empower Learning

We know that each student is unique in the way the learn best. That’s why we provide choices that help parents find the right fit for their children and ensure our teachers have the skills and knowledge to help students grow.

Energize Achievement

Learning in District 191 starts with a strong foundation in core subjects like math, reading, science and social studies. But it goes way beyond the basics. Through unique opportunities like band at every elementary school, theater, robotics, a district-wide chess club and much more, we help students find their passion when it comes to learning. We provide the places where they can start, so eventually they can go anywhere.

Embrace Community

District 191 and our students benefit from the support of a wonderfully diverse community. Thanks to partnerships with local businesses, the dedication of hundreds of volunteers, and the varied experiences of parents and families, our students learn about the world beyond high school so they can be ready to succeed as a citizen of their own communities.
